Cinematic music for every project
Short films and school projects
A short film lives on music that carries feelings the picture alone cannot. Pick a mood for each scene instead of letting one song run throughout.
Emotional cinematic musicTrailers and teasers
A trailer needs an arc: a calm start, rising tension, a big ending. Epic songs with a long build work best.
Epic musicTravel and nature films
Wide landscapes, drone flights, sunrise: here orchestra and pads may sound big. Make sure the song unfolds slowly, like the pictures.
Hopeful musicGaming and fan videos
Montages, let's plays, fan edits: action and suspense music gives fast cuts punch.

How to use cinematic music well
The music follows the arc
Cinematic music works best when it develops with the story. Put the song's peak on your scene's peak, and cut at the start rather than at the end.
Pauses are allowed
Not every scene needs music. A moment of silence before the finale makes the music after it bigger.
Quieter and leaner under dialogue
When characters speak, take the “No Melody” version and, as a starting point, set the music 15 to 20 dB below the voices.
Frequently asked questions about cinematic music
Is the cinematic music really free?
Yes. For your own videos, you can download and use all songs except the Premium songs as MP3 for free. You pay nothing, not even later. The only condition is a credit in the video description or the end credits.
May I use the music in a short film for a festival or the cinema?
Our licenses only cover videos published online. Music for cinema, festival screenings, TV and radio is licensed through our offer for companies, audiohub.
Are the songs also available without melody?
Yes, many songs come in a “No Melody” version, some as a “Short Mix”. You pick them from the song's versions. They are included in free use.
May I shorten, cut or loop a song?
Yes. For your video you may shorten, cut and repeat the music, fade it in and out and talk over it. You may not pass the music on without the video, release it as your own song or sell it.
Where does the music come from? Is it AI-generated?
No. All our songs are composed, produced and mastered by people. We do not use artificial intelligence for this. That is also why we hold all the rights and can grant them to you directly.
Another advantage: if you also avoid AI in your videos, our music keeps your content completely AI-free. So you don’t have to worry about any additional AI labeling because of our music.
