Music for slideshows and presentations

Music for your photos: for the wedding slideshow, the milestone birthday, the holiday recap or the school and university presentation you share as a video. Free as MP3, no sign-up. All composed and produced in-house – no AI at all.

How much music does your slideshow need?

Allow 4 to 5 seconds per photo. Our songs last about 2.3 minutes on average.

How to add music to your PowerPoint presentation

  1. Step 1

    Download the song

Download the song from us as an MP3 and save it in the same folder as your presentation.

  2. Step 2

    Play it across all slides

On the first slide, insert the MP3 from your computer via “Insert” and “Audio”. Click the speaker icon and choose “Play in Background” on the “Playback” tab. The music then starts by itself and keeps playing across all slides.

  3. Step 3

    Export it as a video

Save the presentation as an MP4 via “File”, “Export” and “Create a Video”. You can share the video online, for example on YouTube or by link. Add “Music: https://audiofire.io” to the description.

Google Slides and Keynote

In Google Slides, add music via “Insert” and “Audio”; the file has to be in your Google Drive. In Keynote, drag the MP3 into the “Soundtrack” field in the “Document” pane.

  • Free for your slideshows

If you share your slideshow online as a video, the music is free: on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Vimeo, on your own website or by link with family and friends. Presentation videos for school and university are free too. The only condition is the credit “Music: https://audiofire.io” in the video description or in the end credits.

  • Lifetime license for companies and clients

For presentation videos of your company, association or institution with up to 15 employees and for slideshows you make for clients of that size, for example as a wedding photographer, you need the Lifetime license for a one-off €119. It applies to all songs for good, the Premium songs included, and no credit is needed.

Online only

audiofire licenses cover videos that run online. For screenings at events, trade fairs or on stage, audiohub has suitable licenses.

Music for every slideshow

  • Wedding

Something light for how you met, something big for the “yes”, something fast for the party photos at the end. Three songs, three chapters, and the slideshow tells your story.

    Wedding music
  • Birthday and anniversary

A milestone birthday lives on old photos. Cheerful songs for childhood, calmer ones for the memories, and to finish, something that lifts the mood.

    Cheerful music
  • Holiday and year in review

Travel photos like music with drive. If you show several places, change the song with the place.

    Travel music
  • Memories

For a slideshow full of memories, calm piano and string pieces work well. They leave room for the pictures.

    Nostalgic music
  • School and university presentations

In a presentation video the music should stay quiet and in the background. Ideally only in the intro, between chapters or behind a run of photos, not under your voice.

Tips for slideshows with music

  1. Cut on the beat

Change photos to the beat of the music, not the clock. Most programs show the waveform; the beats show up as peaks.

  2. Fade in and out

Fade each song out over 2 to 3 seconds at the end and fade the next one in. A hard switch breaks the mood.

  3. Quieter under speech

If you speak in the video or show clips with sound, turn the music down by 15 to 20 dB there or leave it out.

Frequently asked questions about slideshow music

More answers in the FAQ.
  • Is the music for my slideshow free?

Yes. For your own videos, you can download and use all songs except the Premium songs as MP3 for free. You pay nothing, not even later. The only condition is a credit in the video description or the end credits.

  • How do I make music play across all slides in PowerPoint?

Insert the MP3 on the first slide via “Insert” and “Audio”. Then choose “Play in Background” on the “Playback” tab. The music starts by itself and keeps playing across all slides.

  • How many songs do I need for my slideshow?

Allow 4 to 5 seconds per photo: 100 photos make just over 8 minutes. The table above shows how many songs that is, worked out from the length of our songs.

  • May I use the music in a presentation video for my company?

Yes, with the Lifetime license for a one-off €119. It covers companies, associations and institutions with up to 15 employees, including videos you make for clients of that size. Larger companies get suitable licenses from audiohub.

  • May I shorten, cut or loop a song?

Yes. For your video you may shorten, cut and repeat the music, fade it in and out and talk over it. You may not pass the music on without the video, release it as your own song or sell it.
