What YouTube shows after the upload
The notice in YouTube Studio
You will see this message on videos with audiofire music. It means: YouTube has recognized the song, and we allow its use. Without a license, the ad revenue from this video goes to us.
No strike, no warning
Your video stays online and visible everywhere, and your channel is not affected. With the Lifetime license you report the video in your account, and we release it.
Clear a claim with the Lifetime license
The fastest way is your account: open “YouTube claims”, paste the link, done. Alternatively, dispute the claim directly in YouTube Studio: under “Details”, choose “Dispute”, then “License”, and enter your license key or invoice number. Only with a valid Lifetime license – without one, the dispute is rejected.

How to get the music into your YouTube video
- Step 1
Find and download a song
Filter by mood or theme, listen and download the song as an MP3. You don’t need an account.
- Step 2
Add it in your editing software
Drag the MP3 into your editing software, such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, CapCut or iMovie, and lay it under your video. You may shorten it, cut it and fade it in and out.
How it works, step by step - Step 3
Credit in the description
When you upload, write in the video description: “Music: https://audiofire.io”. You don’t have to name the song title. That is the only condition for free use.
Music: https://audiofire.io
Free for your own channel
For videos and Shorts on your own YouTube channel the music is free, as a private person and as a creator. The only condition is the credit “Music: https://audiofire.io” in the video description. Without a license, the ad revenue from videos with our music goes to us.
Lifetime license for ad revenue, companies and clients
With the Lifetime license for a one-off €119, the ad revenue goes to you, and on request we whitelist your own YouTube channel. It also covers videos of your company, association or institution with up to 15 employees and videos you make for clients of that size. All Premium songs are included, and no credit is needed.
Music for every kind of YouTube video
Vlogs
A vlog needs music that runs along without getting in the way when you talk. Light pop and acoustic songs suit everyday life and travel, calm songs the moments in between.
Music for vlogsTutorials and how-tos
When you explain something, your voice is what counts. Take calm songs or the “No Melody” version, and the attention stays on you.
Background musicGaming and let’s plays
For highlights and montages it may be fast and loud: electronic with a strong beat gives short cuts drive. For long let’s plays, pick something calm that doesn’t wear you out.
Energetic electronicShorts
A Short only lasts seconds. That is why some songs also come as a “Short Mix”. Here too, the credit goes in the description.
Songs with a Short MixIntro and outro
An intro works when people recognize it after three videos. Pick a song with a short, clear motif and use it in every video.

Tips for music in YouTube videos
Quieter under speech
As a starting point, set the music 15 to 20 dB below your voice. Also check on a phone speaker, where most people watch.
One song per scene
Don’t let one song run for ten minutes. Change it with the topic or the place, and your video stays varied.
One line for every song
If you use several songs, one line “Music: https://audiofire.io” in the description is enough. You don’t have to name the song title.

Frequently asked questions about music on YouTube
Is the music for YouTube really free?
Yes. For your own videos, you can download and use all songs except the Premium songs as MP3 for free. You pay nothing, not even later. The only condition is a credit in the video description or the end credits.
Will I get a copyright strike?
No. Our songs are registered in YouTube’s Content ID system. That is why YouTube recognizes the music and shows in YouTube Studio: “Copyright-protected content found. The owner is allowing the use of their content on YouTube.” This is not a copyright strike and not a warning. Your video stays online, and your channel is not affected. The ad revenue from this video goes to us, though.
May I use the music in monetized videos?
Yes. Without a license, the ad revenue from that video goes to us. With the Lifetime license you report the video in your account, we release it, and the revenue goes to you. On request we whitelist your own YouTube channel and then release every claim there.
How do I remove the notice in YouTube Studio?
You can do this with the Lifetime license. Without a license, the notice stays.
- Sign in to your audiofire account.
- Open “YouTube claims” and paste the link to your video or channel.
- We match the license to your account, check it and release the video or channel on YouTube.
You don’t need a license key or license PDF for this.
The notice is then removed automatically. This can take a few days. You can publish the video before that. If something is still stuck after a week, write to us at info@audiofire.de and include the link to the video.
May I use the music in Shorts too?
Yes, Shorts count like normal videos on your channel. Some songs also come as a “Short Mix”. For free use, put “Music: https://audiofire.io” in the Short’s description.
Why not just use the YouTube Audio Library?
The Audio Library is made for YouTube. YouTube doesn’t say whether you may use its songs on Instagram, TikTok or your website, and some songs require you to credit the artist in a particular way. You get no proof of license there. Music from audiofire you download as an MP3 and use on every online platform. With the Lifetime license you get a license PDF with a license number for every song.
Do I have to label my video as AI content because of the music?
No. Every song is composed and produced by people, with no AI at all. Because of our music, you don’t need to declare anything as AI-generated or synthetic when you upload. Ideal for channels that deliberately work without AI.
